THE 2013 National Men’s Health Gathering, held in Brisbane late next month, has two potential presentation spots available for resource industry organisations to speak on their health and well-being practices.
The National Men’s Health Gathering takes place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 22-25 and explores a pervasive range of health and well-being issues.
Details on the popular event can be found here.
Paul Mischefski of the conference steering committee said that although presentation submissions closed several weeks ago, two 30-minute paper presentation slots have become available on the afternoon of the second day of the conference, Wednesday, October 23.
“The mining industry is a vast employer of male workforces country-wide and as such, our conference Steering Committee would be very interested in hearing from mining industry organisations that may like to present their health and well-being practices and programs at this event,” Mr Mischefski said.
The presentation sessions take the form of a 22-minute Powerpoint presentation followed by eight minutes of question and answer. AREEA members interested on inclusion in the program would need to submit a short abstract within the next seven days, though presentations can still be worked on up until the conference.
Enquiries on attending or presenting at the event can be directed to AREEA media manager Tom Reid via [email protected].
