Australian Resources and Energy Group AREEA welcomes the Federal Government’s approval of the groundwater management plan for the Adani Carmichael Project.
Today’s decision means the project has cleared all federal approvals, leaving the ball in the court of the Queensland State Government.
The Adani Carmichael Project will be overwhelmingly positive for Queensland and Australia, generating thousands of jobs, boosting regional economies and delivering decades of income at the state and federal level.
It’s incredibly important for Australia’s sovereign risk profile that projects of this scale succeed against misguided politicking and disruptive lawfare from well-resourced minority activist groups.
Today’s decision is also a timely reminder of the significant contribution the resources and energy industry makes to Australia’s prosperity, delivering a $20 billion windfall to drive a recent Federal Budget surplus.
