New Head of AREEA’s East Coast Team

AREEA’s Head of East Coast Workplace Relations Leyla Sandeman

AUSTRALIAN Resources and Energy Group AREEA is pleased to announce the appointment of Leyla Sandeman to lead the East Coast workplace relations team.

A highly-experienced senior employment lawyer, Leyla’s industry knowledge further bolsters AREEA’s consultancy team and strengthens its on-hand support to members.

AREEA Director Workplace Relations Amanda Mansini welcomed Leyla, describing her as an effective and respected advisor and strategist on all workplace matters.

“AREEA is thrilled to have Leyla join the team and head up our East Coast workplace relations team,” she said.

“Bringing a wealth of knowledge in employment law, Leyla is a high quality addition to the team and will add significant value to members.

“She is well respected for her industry knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting resources and energy industry employers.”

As the Head of East Coast Workplace Relations, Leyla will lead AREEA’s busy team of employment experts across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Her deep understanding of workplace issues stretches from enterprise bargaining, industrial strategy, employee entitlements and labour hire licensing.

She is also experienced in discrimination, unfair dismissal and adverse action claims, employment contracts, redundancy, transfer of business and the interpretation of enterprise agreements and modern awards.

For the past decade, Leyla has worked with well-regarded law firm Minter Ellison where she was a Senior Associate for more than six years.
