Two new appointments have been made to AREEA’s Board, adding further diversity of skills, sectors and experience to an already strong line-up of Directors.
CEO of asset management company Morris Corporation, Fiona Berkin, joins AREEA’s Board, bringing a passion for growth, client engagement and cultural transformation.
Specialising solely in the resources and energy sector, Morris Corporation is a large support services company, providing village management and non-process infrastructure asset management. Ms Berkin has led the company since 2004 and also sits on a number of its Indigenous Joint Venture boards.
She has a strong interest in Indigenous participation and environmental initiatives – believing environmental and business principles can be aligned.
Michael Bisset, Group Executive Human Resources for gold miner Newmont Asia Pacific, also joins AREEA’s Board of Directors.
Mr Bissett is accountable for human resources for the Australian, New Zealand and Indonesian businesses as well as providing strategic HR support for Newmont in Africa.
He brings a depth of resource industry experience and holds executive committee and board positions with the Minerals Council of Australia, WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and non-profit LifeLine WA.
