Mining industry icon Sir Arvi Parbo AC was farewelled in Melbourne last week.
He was AREEA President from 1976-1978 and held numerous other leadership positions in the Australian resources industry.
Sir Arvi passed away on 1 May, 2019, aged 93.
“Sir Arvi Parbo will be fondly remembered as the most influential 20th Century figure of the Australian resources industry,” Steve Knott AM, AREEA Chief Executive, said last month.
A memorial commemoration for Sir Arvi was held at the Melbourne Town Hall on Monday 27 May.
