RESOURCE employers have the opportunity to participate in a trade mission to China led by Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Robb this April.
Part of Australia Week in China, the trade mission will be one of Australia’s largest to China, consisting of a delegation of up to 600 business people from 8 – 11 April.
Minister Robb hopes the trip will build on Australia’s largest trading partnership, which reached A$130 billion last year.
“China’s economy is changing; the focus on export and investment has shifted to the domestic consumption of an exploding middle class,” Mr Robb says.
“This growth will drive incredible consumer demand and open up new opportunities for Australia across so many areas compatible with our strengths; the things we do as well as any and better than most.”
Industry-themed events will showcase Australia’s strengths across a range of areas including mining equipment, and technology and services.
Companies interested in participating in the trade mission to China can access more information from the Austrade website.
