Pilbara miner Fortescue Metals Group has won an industry award for providing its Aboriginal employees on-the-job training opportunities.
With 20 Hedland residents and 38 participants in total involved in its Trade Up program, the miner claimed the indigenous employment and retention award at the 2016 Australian Mines and Metals Association conference on August 4.
