PRIME Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s decision this week to recall parliament in April could result in a double-dissolution election on 2 July if the Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC) or Registered Organisations Bills fail to pass the Senate for the third time.
While it remains to be seen when Australians will head to the polls, AREEA’s pre-election advocacy on behalf of resource industry employers is in full swing.
To ensure our members’ workplace priorities form part of national policy debate, AREEA is calling on all members to contribute to lobbying efforts by completing our 2016 Federal Election Survey.
The survey canvasses a diverse range of topics, including:
- Your biggest obstacles to growth and prosperity;
- The impact of the Fair Work Act 2009 on your business;
- The impact of government regulation / compliance and industry policy; and
- How the workplace relations system should be reformed.
Your participation and support will ensure the collective voice of the industry will be heard loud and clear by the next Australian Government.
