THE Mining Rehabilitation Fund is set to be established later this year and the Department of Mines and Petroleum is now seeking expressions of interest for a supporting advisory panel.
The role of the panel, to be created under the Mining Rehabilitation Fund Act 2012, will include defining and identifying abandoned mines, the prioritisation and scope for rehabilitation, and the administration of the fund.
Candidates should have expertise or experience in mine management, land rehabilitation, environmental management, financial and legal matter or natural resource planning and management.
