DIVERSITY & INCLUSION FOCUS AT AOG BREAKFAST

The importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace will be put in the spotlight as key leaders in Australia’s oil and gas sector come together the Australasian Oil and Gas (AOG) conference.

AOG is a showcase of the latest products and services and attracts over 8,000 global visitors providing opportunities to network and learn about the latest technological and innovative breakthroughs which will drive the industry into the future.

As part of next month’s conference, AOG’s Diversity and Inclusion Breakfast offers an opportunity for industry to connect, while supporting inclusive and diverse workplaces.

The breakfast will explore the merits of bringing our whole selves to work – from individual and organisational perspectives with a panel of industry specialists will share knowledge and insights around:

  • Recognising that we are all unique and individual – that we have multiple “identities” across work, home and play – and creating environments that respond inclusively.
  • Organisational and personal benefits or disadvantages of advocating for authenticity in the workplace.
  • The tactics that we can use to empower ourselves and our colleagues to feel safe in choosing to bring our whole selves to work?

The panel discussion, titled ‘Bringing your whole self to work’, will showcase industry specialists as they their thoughts on the benefits and disadvantages of advocating for authenticity.

Speakers will also demonstrate tactics, which they’ve used to empower themselves and their colleagues.
