THE resource industry is dedicated to supporting the next generation of talented engineers and leading the charge is global resource group BHP Billiton and the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA).
BHP Billiton, in partnership with the MCA, invites students from across the country to apply for the BHP Billiton/Minerals Council of Australia Women in Engineering Scholarship.
The BHP Billiton/MCA partnership is helping identify the next generation of talented female engineers with its scholarship open to all female undergraduate engineering students studying in Australia and provides $8000 per annum for the final two years of study. It aims to advance the role of women in the resources sector.
To be eligible for the Women in Engineering Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in full-time study in an Engineering degree (Mining, Electrical, Geotechnical, Mechanical etc);
- Be in the final two years of a Bachelor degree;
- Have a GPA of 5 or more (or equivalent to 65% or more); and
- Include an accompanying CV.
