AREEA members are invited to consult on the Australian Human Rights Commission’s Pregnancy and Return to Work National Review, evaluating the prevalence, nature and consequences of discrimination relating to pregnancy at the workplace.
The Review will encompass responses from a range of stakeholders but will have a particular focus on employers and how pregnancy, parental leave and return to work procedures following parental leave are managed in the workplace. Information on practices and strategies implemented in the workplace to meet these challenges will be welcomed by the ARHC.
Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief Peter Anderson will be on the Reference Group for the Review and employers can contribute using an online survey to help ensure the experiences and concerns of employers are reflected in the Review findings and recommendations.
AREEA members interested in being a part of the consultation can contact the AREEA Policy team before Friday, 11 October 2013, on 07 3210 0313. For more information, click here.
