Essential Skills for Supervisors
The Essential Skills for Supervisors workshop is intended to
provide basic level information regarding a variety of skills required by
supervisors on a day to day basis. The one day workshop is structured around
practical exercises and introduces supervisors to the essential ‘people skills’
they need to be effective in their role.
This course provides an introduction to topics such as
workplace communication, feedback, conflict management, performance management
and discipline which are skills developed in greater detail in other courses
offered by AMMA Education and Training.
This course is suitable for supervisors at all levels
including those who have recently been promoted to a supervisor role and
longstanding supervisors who have not yet received formal training.
As a result of participation in the
course Essential Skills for Supervisors, participants may elect to
continue on to complete a Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency in

The Discipline and Termination – Reducing the Risk workshop
