Supporting Women Scholarships
Applications for the Queensland Supporting Women Scholarships are now open.
There are exciting career opportunities available for women in the resources and construction industries, and the Supporting Women Scholarships can help women to access these opportunities.
Scholarships are available for women to undertake study from the Certificate IV level through to postgraduate in the following fields of study:
• Agriculture and Environment
• Architecture and Building
• Earth Science
• Engineering
• Information technology.
Scholarships are available for school leavers, women returning to study or changing careers and who are commencing a new program of study in one of the eligible fields in 2014.
Applications will close on 11 October 2013, and applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in December 2013.

Company Director Scholarships for Women in Mining 2013
The Minerals Council of Australia invites applications from talented women in the mining industry for two Company Directors Course scholarships with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
The Company Directors Course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the major issues confronting company directors in today’s business environment and equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively undertake the duties of a company director.
The course is designed for those wishing to further their directorship skills and knowledge and those who aspire to serve on boards. Participants generally include executive and non-executive directors, CEOs and senior executives who report to boards, from publicly listed, private, government and not-for-profit organisations.
Eligible applicants must be nominated by an MCA member company. The application form is available here.
