AREEA members are invited to join workplace relations counsel Lindsay Carroll and policy adviser Ingrid Fraser tomorrow (Wednesday 24 January) for a one-hour teleconference on the proposed Queensland Labour-Hire Licensing Regulations.
This session will focus on proposals contained in two consultation papers released by the Queensland Government’s Office of Industrial Relations concerning development of regulations to the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017:
- Consultation Paper 1: Development of Operational Regulations
- Consultation Paper 2: Possible treatments to refine the scope of the labour hire scheme.
These papers are available here.
The consultation period is open until 2 February 2018. AREEA is preparing a submission on behalf of members outlining what we understand are major concerns about the scope of the scheme, its onerous reporting requirements and other aspects.
Any AREEA members wishing to provide views and guide our submission can join the following teleconference:
Date: Wednesday, 24 January 2018
Time: 1:00-2:00pm (AEDT)
