Event to help understand ‘nextgen’ workforce

AREEA members have the opportunity to attend a series of events focusing on how to manage the multi-generational workforce.

Hosted by the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the events will be held during May in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The NextGen in Business event series will focus on the next generation of the workforce.

Employers will gain a better understanding of the impact of having five generations in the workforce for the first time in history.

Attendees will get an understanding of how Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers and Traditionalists think differently and highlights the importance of employers creating a workplace environment where everyone can thrive to ensure continued growth and success.

The events will showcase global innovators such as Netflix, Atlassian, Facebook and Envato and delve into how to balance leadership, diversity and flexibility to attract and retain the best people and maximise productivity and innovation.

Key speakers include:

  • Netflix’s culture architect Patty McCord;
  • Atlassian work futurist Dom Price;
  • Business transformation leader Tom Goodwin;
  • Envato’s HR expert Amber Johnson;
  • Facebook Workplace’s Ben Gould

The speakers will hone in on strategies to cater for all generations and how employers need to rethink a lot of things taken for granted – from communications and technology to recruitment, working practices, incentives and process automation.

Insights will be shared on how some of the world’s most advanced companies are turning these problems into a new opportunity.

Through AREEA’s membership with ACCI, members are being offered $150 off non-member pricing.
