THE next generation of Australian executive leaders gathered in an intimate event this month to network and learn from two very different, but equally impressive “go getters”.
The group of talented and ambitious aspiring leaders joined AREEA and special guests for the launch of the Future Leaders Network in Melbourne on 1 June.
The inaugural event was headlined by Sky News political commentator, television anchor and former Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Australia, Peta Credlin, and successful fashion designer, entrepreneur and international businesswoman Karen Gee.
AREEA Director Workplace Relations Amanda Mansini was proud to launch the network.
“We were incredibly fortunate to have two high calibre leaders of business, politics and media, not to mention role models, to launch the inaugural Future Leaders Network event and speak about their experiences,” Ms Mansini said.
“It was great to hear their personal leadership journeys and learn from their insights and advice.”
AREEA launched the exciting industry initiative to help develop the next wave of leadership, not only in the resources and energy sector, but all industries across Australia.
The Network brings together talented and ambitious professionals, exposing them to invaluable insights to leadership success stories, development opportunities and connections.
“While there are existing support groups and networking style events in the industry, AREEA noticed a gap in those catering precisely for the calibre and ambitions of the exclusive group of people invited to take part in the Network,” Ms Mansini said.
“We are passionate about ensuring our country’s future is in the very best hands, which is why we have specifically hand-picked a network of budding future managers, leaders and executives.”
The Network will provide the tools, experience and insights required to set aspiring leaders on a clear path to leadership.
