The Australian Women in Resources Alliance (AWRA) has launched a national education campaign involving online ‘Way Forward Guides’ and a series of training workshops designed to assist HR professionals in the resource industry to develop a business case for workforce diversity and increase the level of attraction and retention of talented women workers.
Today (31 October 2013) AREEA director, industry services Tara Diamond joined the ABC’s AM program to discuss the existing barriers to women’s participation in the resource industry and AWRA’s goal to increase this from the current 15.5% to 25% by 2020.
