AREEA, the resources and energy industry group, extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues following the devastating event taking the lives of Compass CEO Richard Cousins, sons Edward and William, fiancée Emma Bowden and her daughter Heather Bowden-Page and pilot Gareth Morgan.
Compass Group Australia has been a long-standing AREEA member for more than 50 years and is a major service provider to Australia’s resources and energy sector.
AREEA’s chief executive Steve Knott AM said, “Our thoughts are with friends, family and the Compass Group Australia team. This is a terrible loss of so many lives.
“Compass Group Australia provides food service and support services to AREEA members nation-wide, including some of the most remote areas.
“The impact of this incident will be felt across Australia and AREEA extends deepest sympathy on behalf of our members.”
