AMMA has bolstered its national workplace consulting team with the appointment of experienced resource sector practitioner Peter Cooke as Principal Workplace Relations Consultant, based in the Perth office.
Peter brings to AMMA extensive experience as a senior human resources manager in the resource industry, having previously worked for companies including Dampier Salt, Rio Tinto Iron Ore and as construction services manager for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Western Australia.
In his new consulting role with AMMA, he offers both excellent managerial credentials as well as strong operational HR, employee relations and industrial relations skills. He has a successful track record in implementing business initiatives including organisational restructuring, cultural change, as well as managing HR/ER outcomes across multiple operations, locations and regions.
“Peter is well known in Western Australia’s resource industry for his expertise in developing and implementing employee and industrial relations strategy,” says AMMA Director of Workplace Relations, Amanda Mansini.
“He brings excellent advocacy skills before industrial tribunals and courts and has proven experience in identifying how people strategies can better support and drive business priorities and profitability.
