AREEA members are invited to join Head of Policy and Public Affairs Tom Reid and Policy Advisor Ingrid Fraser on Thursday, 26 April for a webinar on national labour hire licensing developments.

Employers will be well aware that new labour hire licensing laws have recently commenced in Queensland and South Australia, with the transition period underway. With the schemes covering arrangements not typically thought of as labour hire, and significant penalties for non-compliance, it is an area of great interest and concern for many employers.

In our 12pm (AEST) webinar, AREEA’s policy team will explore the following:

1. Status update: an update of the status of the schemes or proposed schemes in each state and nationally
2. Scope: an examination of who is covered, who isn’t covered, and where further clarity is needed.
3. Ensuring compliance: an overview of the key obligations in each of the schemes, and practical tips for labour hire providers and users of labour hire to ensure compliance and avoid penalties
4. Next steps: how AREEA’s policy team is working to assist members with understanding and complying with the schemes.
