Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick will launch the findings of her 12-month nationwide listening tour into sexual discrimination on Tuesday.
She says she wants a review of laws, dating back to 1983, with a particular focus on men.
"Protection for men under the Sex Discrimination Act is quite limited," Ms Broderick told ABC Radio.
"Men can only bring an action on the basis of family responsibilities if they are actually sacked.
"We need to strengthen those laws and we need to look at a different model of (male) success."
While Australia had come a long way in addressing sexual harassment there was still a lot of work to do, Ms Broderick said.
