AMMA met with officials of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations last week to discuss the Work Choices legislation and was advised that the Workchoices regulations, while well underway, are not expected to be finalised until the end of March. As many of the provisions of the Work Choices legislation are underpinned by regulations, it is unlikely that the balance of the Work Choices legislation will be in operation until the regulations are completed.
