As indicated via Members Circulars on 18 December 2007 and 25 January 2008 the Federal Government has begun the process of implementing the industrial relations reforms it outlined in the lead up to the last federal election.
The ALP policy will be implemented in two stages. The first stage will involve the passage of a Transitional Bill which will remove access to AWAs, provide for an Interim Individual Statutory Agreement (an ITEA), and commence the award modernisation process.
