AMMA Member Forum and Christmas Cocktail Function in WA

AMMA’s December Member Forum is shaping to be one of the best for 2006. A wide range of speakers will present on the latest industry developments in employee relations.



AMMA would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the Forum and then join us at the conclusion of the Forum at a Christmas Cocktail Function with other industry colleagues and AMMA staff.

Details of the event are outlined below and the programme for the Forum is outlined below.

1. AMMA, who will update you on:
• Developments on recording keeping requirements;
• Further proposed amendments to WorkChoices
• Union plans to for the resources sector; and
• Analysis of ACTU and ALP IR Policy.

2. The OEA on developments with prohibited content in your workplace agreements.

3. The ABCC on developments with Project or site wide agreements and recent developments on the Court matters involving the ABCC.

4. The Office of Workplace Services on the application of the Australian Fair Pay and Conditions standards, Agreement Making and Enforcement Proceedings.

5. The Chamber of Minerals and Energy on:
• the practical implications of the Working Hours Code of Practice for resources sector employers; and
• “Staffing the Super Cycle - resources sector labour shortages"

6. The latest from the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs on s.457 visa’s.

The Forum will be followed by Christmas refreshments and the opportunity to network with industry colleagues and AMMA staff.
