The Australian Mines and Metals Association (AMMA) is the national resources sector employer association providing workplace relations and human resource management consulting services to its members. Due to staff changes and business growth being experienced by resources sector employers, an exciting opportunity exists in AMMA’s Sydney Office to be at the forefront of employee relations in the booming resources sector.

As part of a national team you will have the opportunity to work with resources sector companies in delivering practical advice and services on a wide range of workplace relations matters. This will include representation and advice on agreement making, discrimination matters, performance management, recruitment and retention, dispute resolution and other human resources and employee relations challenges.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

§         A sound knowledge of human resources management practices and Australian employment law

§         Proven interpersonal skills to enable you to build and maintain effective relationships within AMMA, its clients and stakeholders

§         Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem solving and communication skills

§         Proven record of achieving results and working independently in a consulting environment

§         A degree in a relevant discipline such as law, human resources or business
