Terry Adams – Manager Hydrocarbons

Terry leads the AMMA team of consultants working in the hydrocarbons sector.  Much of Terry’s work involves consultancy and support services to contracting companies undertaking major mining and hydrocarbons construction and development projects.

Terry has worked for AMMA over two periods – 1996 to 1998 and from 2002 to the present.  During this time, Terry has worked in a range of industry segments including with offshore drilling contractors, mining contractors, and oil and gas service companies.  Terry has also worked on project teams involved with major shutdown/outages and transitioning workforces onto AWAs and similar arrangements.

Since returning to AMMA in 2002 Terry has worked almost exclusively in oil and gas, with particular focus on offshore construction projects, large and small, including Woodside’s TSEP Project in 2003, the Bayu-Undan to Darwin Pipeline Project in 2004/05 and the Otway and Casino developments for Woodside and Santos respectively in 2005/06.   Terry is presently working with Woodside and its contractors on the Angel Project and has also been retained to work with contractors on Woodside’s Pluto Development and with Eni on the Blacktip Development.

Terry has accumulated over twenty years of industrial relations experience in both the public and private sectors.  Prior to joining AMMA initially in 1996, Terry held the position of Industrial Relations Manager at the Western Australian Education Department for four years. After his first stint with AMMA, Terry was the Employee Services Manager for Schlumberger, a leading oil and gas service company.

Terry has a Bachelor of Business majoring in human resources and industrial relations from Edith Cowan University.
