Susan Butterworth – Principal Employee Relations Consultant
As a legally qualified Principal Employee Relations
Consultant based in the Melbourne office, Susan Butterworth provides
representation and strategic advice on all aspects of workplace relations,
including in the areas of industrial relations, discrimination and employment
law, industrial relations planning for major construction projects, and the management
of disputes, workplace grievances, enterprise bargaining, performance
management, OHS and injury management,
organisational development, restructuring, termination of employment and discrimination.
Susan has significant compliance experience and assists
clients with compliance issues under the Workplace Relations Act 1996, the
Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005, the National Code of
Practice for the Construction Industry and the Australian Government
Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of the Practice for the
Construction Industry.
Susan
regularly appears for clients in industrial tribunals and works closely with
AMMA members in the metalliferous mining, construction, energy and utility
and allied services sectors.
Susan
has completed a number of AMMA member site-based secondments including
performing employee relations project management and human resource management
roles.
Susan’s particular
areas of interest include workplace relations strategic planning, enterprise
bargaining, compliance, advocacy and dispute resolution.
Susan’s qualifications include:

- Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice
- Graduate Certificate in Management
- Masters in Human Resource Management
Susan
is currently undertaking a Masters of Law at the University of Melbourne.
