Steve Dunstan has senior and executive level human
resources management and industrial relations experience gained over 25 years
in the power and utilities sector, heavy engineering and offshore oil and gas
construction.
Steve joined AMMA in 2008 after working as a director of
his own consulting company providing solutions for clients in a range of
diverse industries, with specific emphasis on working with CEOs, Executive
and Human Resources teams to deliver commercially focused strategic ‘people’
planning, change management and cultural improvement initiatives.
Steve has extensive experience in the power industry and
was heavily involved in rationalising power industry representative unions
from 14 to 2 with a similar reduction in the number of awards.
He has practiced as an industrial advocate in both the federal
and state industrial systems and successfully negotiated industrial
agreements in essential services companies over many years. He has advised
clients in both the government and private sectors.
He is a powerful advocate of strengthening businesses
through building the capacity of people and ensuring change is both
sustainable and strategically focused. He specialises in strategic change
management and business strategy with a strong emphasis on delivering bottom
line results through effective people planning.
He is an experienced dispute manager and negotiator and has
expertise in conducting workplace investigations, policy development,
strategic planning and developing employee performance schemes.
Steve operates from AMMA’s Perth office and is working
across both hydrocarbon and mining company members.
