Ian has 25 years experience in metalliferous mining, coal mining, resource construction, hydrocarbons and gas, including projects such as the Yabulu Expansion Project, the Spring Gully Construction Project and the Grasstree Construction Project.

Prior to joining AMMA, he worked for the Federal Arbitration Inspectorate.

For AMMA, Ian manages the day-to-day operations of consultants in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

He has lobbied state governments in relation to industrial relations, mining and liquor licensing, and has helped developed AMMA’s policy in relation to the modern Mining Industry Award. He has particular expertise in rosters and hours of work.
