Corlia Roos – Director Membership Services

As AMMA’s Director Membership Services, Corlia Roos, is responsible for developing and promoting AMMA’s services to members. As an experienced consultant and advocate, Corlia also continues to assist member companies at strategic level with HR and IR planning for their organisations. She is based in the Brisbane office.

Prior to taking up her current role with AMMA in 2005, Corlia was an Employee Relations Advisor at Freehills’ Brisbane office (mid 2004 to 2005) and an Employee Relations Consultant with AMMA based in the Perth office, providing legal advice and acting as an industrial advocate.

Corlia practiced as a barrister in the Supreme Court and Labour Court of South Africa before she immigrated to Australia in 2001. She has worked in industrial relations and employment law in the mining and education sectors in South Africa for over a decade. Corlia is also the author of two commentaries on South African workplace legislation published by Butterworths.

Corlia has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) majoring in philosophy from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University in Western Australia. Corlia represented Curtin University in the Boston Consulting Group’s international strategic planning competition.

Corlia is a member of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland, the Australian Human Resources Institute and the Australian Labour Law Association.
