Bill FitzGerald – Principal Employee Relations Consultant

Bill FitzGerald is AMMA’s representative in Tasmania, providing consultancy and industry support services to Tasmanian AMMA members.

 Bill specialises in workplace training and has lectured for many years on a part-time basis with the Australian Institute of Company Directors and TAFE. Legally qualified, Bill has provided advice and representation in successful defences for a number of major unfair dismissal cases. 

Bill is a key member of AMMA’s Education and Training team and is involved in the development and delivery of the full suite of AMMA training programs nationally.

Bill  holds  a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training

Before joining AMMA in 1998, Bill worked for fifteen years in human resources and industrial relations consulting and training positions within the Tasmanian business community.

Bill has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tasmania and has been admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of Tasmania.

Bill is a Past President of the Industrial Relations Society of Tasmania and a Past Vice President of the Industrial Relations Society of Australia.

Current professional memberships include membership of the Tasmanian Branch of the Industrial Relations Society of Australia.
