Bill manages AMMA’s RTO and runs the organisation’s
Tasmanian operation. He has 10 years HR/IR experience in the resources
sector and 20 years experience in manufacturing, retail, education and health
services. His projects have included the construction of the Tasmanian
natural gas project for Duke Energy and the Allegiance Metals processing
facility. Prior to joining AMMA, Bill spent 15 years with the Tasmanian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Bill can assist members to design and deliver supervisory
training, and can also provide advice and representation in unfair/unlawful
termination claims, strategic advice in agreement making to align with
company objectives, and construction project management.
He has represented the resources sector and individual
company members in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, the
Tasmanian Industrial Commission, the Anti-Discrimination Commission, the
Workers Compensation Tribunal, and the Tasmanian Magistrates Court, and has
lobbied the Tasmanian Government in relation to Industrial relations, workers
compensation and occupational health and safety reform.
Bill holds a bachelor of laws degree from the University of Tasmania, was admitted to the role of practitioners in the Supreme Court of
Tasmania and has a Certificate IV Training and Assessor.
He is involved with the Tasmanian Employers Group on
Workers Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety and the Tasmanian
Employers Group on Industrial Relations.
