Alice is an Employee Relations Consultant based in the Melbourne office since relocating from AMMA’s Adelaide office in September 2009. Alice assists AMMA’s Workplace Operations team to support AMMA members achieve their
workplace relations objectives. Alice can provide both general and strategic
industrial and workplace relations inquiries, and has assisted members with
the drafting, negotiation and approval of enterprise agreements, review and
implementation of common law contracts, and the disciplinary investigation
and termination process.
Alice is admitted to practice as a legal practitioner after
completing degrees in Law and International Studies in 2007. Alice has appeared in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission/Fair Work Australia
and the South Australian Workers Compensation Tribunal, and had involvement
in proceedings in the South Australian District and Supreme Courts, the Equal
Opportunity Commission and the Equal Opportunity Tribunal. Alice has completed
a Project Management Course.
Whilst
supporting all AMMA lobbying projects in her previous role as AMMA’s Employee
Relations and Policy Officer, Alice has directly lobbied the Productivity
Commission for the interests of AMMA members in relation to the 2008 inquiry
into paid parental leave, and has provided both written and oral submissions
to the Productivity Commission in this respect.
Alice has been significantly involved in the award modernisation
process and has provided AMMA’s Award Modernisation Advisory Team with
research assistance throughout the process for both the mining and
hydrocarbons industries.
