AMMA has made a submission on an exposure draft of federal legislation which proposes Australian Industry Participation Plans for projects involving capital expenditure of $500 million or more.

AMMA’s submission to the Senate Economics Committee on the Exposure Draft Australian Jobs Bill 2013 highlighted the true contribution made by the resource industry to Australia; that being the most important driver of economic wealth in the country over the past decade.

The submission also addressed the appropriate role for government in major projects, with the key objectives of legislation to focus on increasing labour productivity and reducing cost.
