learning.

self-registration to be sent your unique access details.
This self-paced internet-based course provides participants with
the opportunity to work through the framework of the new Fair Work Act 2009 at
their own pace either in their office or at home.
A further advantage of this course is that whilst it is self
paced, AMMA will provide participants with complimentary support whilst moving
through the training via the telephone or email for assistance with queries and
questions about the new laws.
Designed as an introduction to the new workplace relations
framework this course is intended for human resource, industrial relations,
office or operational staff as well as managers seeking to understand the
basics of the new fair work system.
The Foundations of Workplace Relations course content has been
developed by AMMA in conjunction with the federal government and contains
interactive examples and information tailored specifically for the resources
and allied services sector.
The course answers questions such as:
§ What are
the safety net protections for employees in the resources sector moving
forward?
§ What is
Fair Work Australia and what sort of matters does it get involved in?
§ What are
the industrial agreement options under the new laws?
§ What is
the process we need to follow to make new agreements?
§ What
rights do unions have to enter your work premises?
§ Can
employees take industrial action? If so, how?
§ What is
considered a ‘fair’ dismissal under the new system? What is ‘unfair’?
The course is modular based and covers the following topics:
§ The Safety Net (National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and
General Protections)
§ Government Regulatory Bodies Roles and Responsibilities
§ Agreement Making and Bargaining
§ Union Right of Entry
§ Industrial Action
§ Termination of the Employment Contract
Our system will allow participants to log in and out of the course
as frequently as they wish so as to cater for work and other commitments.
Upon successful completion of the final assessment each
participant receives a certificate of completion.
