Now in its 10th year, the 2017 AMMA Industry Awards recognises excellence in Australia’s mining, oil, gas and allied industries for accomplishments across many categories.
The Young Professional Award recognises an individual who, in a short period of time, has had a positive and noticeable impact on workforce-related processes or practices within their organisation.
Candidates must have no more than 10 years' experience working in the fields of human resources, industrial relations or operations. Further, they must be an employee of a resource-related company at both the time of the application and the presentation of the award.
The Indigenous Employment and Retention Award recognises an organisation that has implemented a training and/or employment initiative resulting in the successful engagement of Indigenous Australians within their workforces.
The Australian Women in Resources Alliance Award recognises an organisation that has developed innovative or highly effective strategies to increase women's participation in the resource industry workforce and directly enhance the success of the organisation.
The Workforce Innovation Award recognises the creative and strategic efforts of organisations and individuals to overcome workforce challenges and deliver quality outcomes for communities and individuals in the resource or related services industries. The winning organisation or individual will have implemented workforce initiatives and practices directly enhancing the success of the organisation.
The Innovation in Training and Development Award celebrates an organisation that has implemented a training program or initiative which has contributed to the organisation's overall success. Examples of success may include increases in staff attraction, engagement, retention rates, enhancement of apprentice or graduate career development opportunities and improvements in productivity.
The Health and Wellbeing Award recognises a resource industry organisation that has implemented a leading health, safety and wellbeing initiative that has made a significant positive impact on its workplaces and employees.
